The development and symptoms of onychomycosis

Fungi like moist, warm, dark environments, they can be found in swimming pools and gyms, among others. The following increase the risk of infection: diabetes, weakened immune system, old age, nail plate damage, tight or poorly ventilated footwear, playing sports, wearing artificial nails, previous onychomycosis. At first only a slight yellowish, brownish or whitish discoloration can be noticed on the surface of the nail plate. Over time the nail plate thickens, deforms and can separate from the nail bed. On the toes it starts at the free edge of the nail plate and moves towards the upper nail fold, eventually involves the entire nail plate. It can spread to other nails without treatment.

It is the duty of a dermatologist to judge whether a nail abnormality is caused by fungus!

The aim of the treatment is partly aesthetic and partly to prevent consequential diseases: ingrown toenails, eczema, erysipelas, lymphadenitis, inflammation of varicose veins.

A kezelés előtt távolítsa el a körömlakkot, a megvastagodott körömlemezt reszelje 1-2 mm vastagságúra. A lézer fényével végigpásztázzuk az egész körömlemezt és a körömredőket. A kezelés közben Ön nem érez fájdalmat, csak enyhe meleget vagy bizsergést. A kezelés ismétlése 7-10 nap múlva történik. Kontroll vizsgálatra 3-4 hónap múlva várjuk, amennyiben szükséges, akkor ismételt kezelést végzünk.

A Q-kapcsolt lézerek rövid ideig tartó, nagy energiájú impulzusokat bocsájtanak ki. A Q-kapcsolt KTP lézer fénye a köröm felszínében nyelődik el. A Q-kapcsolt Nd YAG lézer fénye mélyebbre hatol, a körömlemezen áthaladva eléri a körömágyban lévő kórokozókat is. A lézerek fénye kizárólag a gombák pigmentjében és sejtfalában nyelődik el. Anélkül pusztítja el a gombákat, hogy károsítaná a környező szöveteket. A lézeres kezelés elpusztítja az újrafertőződésért felelős gomba spórákat is és hosszabb távú eredményeket biztosít, mint az egyéb kezelések.
